This free event featured 60 outstanding performances by our talented students, celebrating the rich family cultural traditions of our community language schools. The event’s success was driven by the enthusiastic support and remarkable performances of our schools, along with the special contributions of the Community Language Ambassadors Amanpreet Kamal, Maria Kakali, and Nehal Nafcy. Annual State Community Language Teachers Conference and Professional Development Training Day Sydney University, April 27, 2024. Theme: "The Future of Languages in Australia: Planning for Growth and Continuity"
This
year’s conference featured 573 attendees, representing 47 language groups, with
20 presenters delivering workshops that focused on growth, continuity, and the
future of language education in Australia.
On Sunday,
June 2, 2024, the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools Inc. hosted the
second annual Community Language Schools Extravaganza at the Sydney Town Hall's
Centennial Hall. This free event featured 45 community language school organisations, 29 language groups and over 540 students, who showcased their incredible talents through 67
outstanding performances. The event's success was largely due to the
enthusiastic support and remarkable performances of our schools, along with the
special contributions from Tekla Peterffy, Amanpreet Kamal, and Felipe
Basioli, dedicated Community Languages Schools Program Ambassadors.
