Expressions of Interest: Student Performances 

The NSW Federation of Community Language Schools is delighted to invite expressions of interest from our member schools to participate in the Federation's Annual Gala Dinner. This prestigious event offers a wonderful opportunity for your students to showcase their cultural heritage and talent in front of an audience of special guests, community leaders, and fellow schools. 

We are seeking: 

• Three (3) Dancing Troupes: Performances must be in national costume and last a maximum of 3 minutes. Groups size, 6 to 8 students. Only groups from community language schools will be accepted; no external or professional groups.
• One (1) Instrumental Band or Musical Quartet: To entertain guests at the beginning of the dinner for about 30 minutes.

• Date: Saturday, 22 November 2025
• Venue: Grand Ballroom, Bankstown Sports Club, 25 Restwell Street, Bankstown, NSW
• Deadline for Expressions of Interest: Monday, 29 September 2025

All selected performers will receive complimentary food and drinks on the night. 

The selection will be based on the showcase performance provided in your submission link, so please ensure it accurately represents your talent.

Selection Criteria- How to Stand Out: Please submit a video link showcasing your proposed performance. Your video should: 

• Feature students in national costume.
• Be well-rehearsed and polished.
• Be recorded in high-quality (both video and audio)
• Reflect a thoughtful, culturally expressive performance.

We are looking for the best of the best- creative, authentic, and inspiring acts that celebrate our rich linguistic and cultural diversity.
