We are delighted to invite you to a free presentation organized by the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools Inc. in collaboration with the School of International Studies, Macquarie University.
Workshop Overview
This workshop is designed for educators working in community language settings who support the language development of bilingual children learning a minority or heritage language.
By combining theoretical insights with practical, hands-on examples, the session will provide:
Strategies teachers can apply directly in their classrooms
Tools to enhance students’ language proficiency
Approaches to strengthen cultural identity
Ideas to foster active engagement with heritage languages
This is a unique opportunity to gain both inspiration and practical guidance that you can bring back to your classroom.
Dr. Ifigeneia Dosi is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics at the Department of Greek Philology, Democritus University of Thrace.
